Our CMS has been designed right from the start to be search engine friendly. It is easy to get to grips with, and has a clear and simple user interface. The content management has been designed with one objective only, and that it to make it simple to manage content that will be easily found on the internet. However, you don't have to use our system. Sorted Spain also supports the Joomla! content management system as well as Wordpress. We design cost effective custom layouts and themes for both these popular systems. Joomla was famously described as evil on the Webdesigner Depot blog , due to its complex menu and categorizing structure. This has not stopped it from becoming prevalent on the web, in fact you are looking at an example of it right now. This CMS is excellent for users who update the narrative content of their website frequently, but can be a little challenging to get to know well. On the plus side there are plenty of available plugins for Joomla! but the down side is that it is not especially search engine friendly if used straight out of the box. The output can seem a little messy and customization of the templates can be onerous. Although Wordpress has been designed primarily as a blog platform, I have found it to be far more user friendly and intuitive. Clients frequently want to use Joomla as they see it as a low cost CMS, and for news and magazine style sites I agree that it is a great choice. However, I still believe there are better options for listing property, even when using one of the real estate cms plugins, which can be purchased relatively cheaply. SEO performance continues to be a problem in my view and you need to be careful with your choice of plugins or risk being hacked. Which ever solution you decide to use to edit the content of your website, Sorted Spain can set it up, maintain and make it work for you. |
